The August 2011 report, Sustainable Efforts & Environmental Concerns Around the World, which surveyed 25,000 respondents in 51 countries, has shown that concern over global climate change in the USA has continued to decline even while climate impacts mount – in 2011 only 48% of US respondents expressed concern. Globally, concern is now greater over air and water pollution, water shortages, use of pesticides and even packaging waste. Meanwhile we are having interesting weather. Those of us who seek to explain how serious our impacts on environment are becoming sure have our work cut out for us.
